Tea Party

Today we had the girls little tea party.  I sent the girls upstairs to get dressed, and they came down like this...Gabby in a princess dress, and Charley wearing her "heals" and she had redone her hair.  They are both just getting so big.  ....Dani was taking a nap.

I think this tea set is just beautiful!
Gabby invited her little friend Alivia.

And Charley invited her friend Bella.  They are sisters that live across the street.
We really didn't have a reason for this little tea party, we just wanted to have one.  I admit, I only put the fun stuff on my blog.  Our life isn't just princesses and tea parties.  The girls get in trouble, I often get frustrated and yell. We are normally busy rushing off to pick up kids for carpool, working with Charley with her homework, taking Gabby to playgroup or having preschool, taking girls to dance, making meals, taking naps, chasing Dani out of the kitchen doors, doing chores, and playing outside.  But when the girls get older, I want them to remember the fun stuff.  I want them to remember their little tea parties and trips to the Dinosaur Museum, or date nights with dad.  So, today we made special, and I hope they remember it.

I have been to the TP farm many times, but have never noticed this sign before today....kinda made me laugh.

This past year, I have been doing a pre-school with Gabby and our neighbor Alivia.  Today we decided to go on a little field trip....to the Farm!  It was a little cold, but it was fun! Dani has been learning the animal sounds, so it was really cute to hear her....she was a little scared of the cows and horses, but loved the chickens and ducks.  You will have to ask her to say them....it is so cute!

Easter Eggs

For FHE the Monday before Easter, we normally dye eggs.  It is a fun thing that we have always done with the girls. And it is fun to eat through out the week.

Practice Tea Party

Aunt Kay gave the girls her special tea set a few months back. It was given to her by her mother, Dorene Ewing in 1966.  But she wanted it to be used, not just looked at. So we decided that this week we are going to have a fancy party and invite a few of the girls friends for an official tea party.  But we needed some practice since the tea set is breakable.  So today we had a 'practice' tea party.  The girls learned all about how to stick out their pinky, and talk in an English accent.  ......well, it was more of just me talking in a really horrible English accent. The girls just thought I was weird. Ben even joined in....but he put Dr. Pepper in his cup!

This is what happens when you have 3 little girls!

Bunheads

Charley and Gabby had their first dance class today!!!  They came out of class excited to go next week! And I think they look SUPER CUTE in their dance gear.  However, according to Gabby it is her "leoHEART" instead of leotard....and I can't convince her otherwise!

We are taking them to our friends Wendy's class. The girls know her, so they wouldn't be shy about dancing for her.

There are some pictures I take where it looks like Charley is 10 years old?!  I guess she is growing up, but I just don't want to believe it. ....but these pictures, I think she looks a lot older than she really is?....or is it just me?  And then there is Gabby....miss Sassy pants!

LasVegas

We had so much fun this weekend, I forgot to take out my camera....it was that good!  And part of the reason why it was so dang fun, was because we didn't have to pay for any of it!...well, except gas to get down there!

Last year, Ben's department at work reached one of their big goals.  So as a reward, his department and spouses were treated to a fun weekend in Las Vegas.  The weekend included our hotel suite at Vdara, a Cirque du Soleil show, "O", at the Belagio. The guys were all taken to play golf, while the wives went shopping. We had dinner at the Buffet at the Aria, and at this YUMMY Thai place off the strip.  And after dinner one night Ben's boss was feeling extra generous, and we all went and got Chineese massages!  it was so nice!  After dinner Ben went with some of the guys and did the rides at the top of the Stratosphere.

It was so much fun. And it was great knowing the girls were safe with my sister Lexi!  ....and my brother too, he came up to help.

While we were there we were also able to video chat with all of Ben's family when his parents opened their mission call to Chili!!!!  They leave July 1st.  It is going to be a hard week for us.  Schramma & Schrammpa leave July 1st to the Provo MTC, and 2 days later on the 3rd my little sister goes to the MTC for Argentina.  Ruben is starting his papers, so we'll have to see where he goes, but what a sad, but great summer for missions all over the world.  They will be getting some great people!

We left early this morning to try and make it back to our church....which starts at 2:30p....yuckiest time ever!  Plus we didn't get a sub for our nursery.  With having to hurry back home and get back into things so quick, the weekend already seems like a long time ago.  But it is back to work in the morning....and school, and volunteering at the school, and diapers and dishes.  It was a fun weekend, but I am glad to be home to the craziness.  It is good to get away every once in a while. And I am glad we did.

J-Dawgs & Living Legends

Today was a good day.  I was able to spend a little girl time with Charley and Gabby.  Ruben had his Living Legends show today.  For work, with Title VII, we were able to get tickets for a bunch of our Native families to the matinee show.  I thought the girls would love it, since they love hoop dancing and pow wow's, so I took them along with me, where we met up with my sister, Lexi.  Plus I thought it would be cool to see their uncle dance. I took them to J-Dawgs before hand for lunch.  I had a gift card there, and thought I would introduce to the girls the awesomeness that is a J-dawg!  If you do not live in UT, you would not understand...but this hotdog is in it's own category all by itself!!  The girls loved the show.  However, Gabby was getting tired toward the end, and when she gets tired she can get cranky!  She refused to be in any pictures.  But she loved the show. And so did Charley.  I am glad I took them. Then afterward we stopped off at the outlets by our house, and stocked up on winter clothes for the girls for next year.  The Children's Place was having a HUGE winter clearance sale...nothing was over $2.99, and I had an extra 15% off coupon....I tried not to go too crazy!

...I have some pretty cool siblings doing some pretty cool stuff! So proud of both Ruben & Lexi, not only do they do cool stuff, but they are great examples for our girls, and they sure do love their Aunt Lexi & Uncle Ruben!

BYU Basketball

Tonight we went to the BYU v Utah St. basketball game.  Ben got greats seats from a guy at work!....we were on row 8!! The girls were a little antsy.  I had to take the girls to the bathroom twice, but we made it.  It was a good game, with a good ending!  70-68!!...it was a close one!
And I had to post this picture.  My mom made this comparison of my sister and Gabby.  ....The picture of Jordan was taken a year or so ago....and of course the one of Gabby a few weeks ago.  This isn't the first time Gabby has been compared to Jordan!

Called to Serve

I never served a mission, so I have no idea what would be going through my head after getting a big envelop in the mail like this.  My little sister is amazing.  She has always known she wanted to serve a mission for our church.  I don't think she ever had a doubt in her mind. A few weeks ago she filled out her papers, and turned them in.  Today, she finally received her call.
The poor thing had her envelop for almost 10 hours before she was finally able to open it with the whole family watching.

For 18 months, Sister Alexis Zendejas will be serving the people of Buenos Aires, Argentina! She enters the Provo MTC on July 3rd.

boys...

I know that Charley is a cute girl.  She already has little boys thinking she is cute, and wanting to be her girl friend...true story.  However, until today, she has been clueless to it all.

Today is Valentines day.  She came home from school and showed me all of her valentines she got from all of her classmates.  Then she pulls out a home-made heart valentine, and tells me that is is from a boy named Jett.  She then tells me that Jett has a crush on her??? How does she know what that means?.... Anyway.  She tells me that someone in her class told her that Jett liked her, and that is why he gave her an extra valentine.

A few hours later we get a knock at the door, and it is her friend Michael from across the street.  He had stopped by to give her a valentine.  After he leaves, she turns to me and says, "I bet Michael has a crush on me too."

Oh Boy, here we go...

Girls & Boys day

Monday we had a boys and girls day.  The boys day consisted of Ben and Calvin skiing at Sundance.  For Girls day we went shopping at Hobby Lobby, and got a few things for some projects....including a headband making kit where after our shopping we decorated headbands for all the girls.
We even went shopping at the new outlet malls by our house....this was in the grand lobby.
The girls with their new headbands and Uncle Cal.
Then when the boys came home we went to Estes with Courtney's siblings, Parker and Jeff and Karlee.
Best pizza and wings in SLC!!!

All the girls with our cool new headbands....yep, we all wore them to the restaurant...we are cool!
Gabby....nuf said!
We have had lots of family in town the last week, and that is just the beginning....we have my family coming in next week!  But Ben's parents came intown last week and spent a few days with us before visiting with their parents in Ogden.  While they were here my in-laws kept themselves busy by fixing my house!  My father in law put in new lighting above and below the kitchen cabinets.  And my mother in law rearranged my living room.  I love it when them come! I always get a lot done!
We also had Calvin & Courtney stay with us.  They were here for Courtney's sisters wedding, as posted previously!  It was a good thing our church is really late, because we needed that extra sleep the next day.
