Charley is 7!

I just got home from our ward baptisms.  I was getting a little teary-eyed just thinking that this time next year, my little baby will be in that room getting baptized. It is an exciting thought, but very scary at the same time.  Seriously, who would have thought time really could go this fast.  And really, do I look or act old enough to even have a daughter that old!? haahaa!!  We did a little birthday party the day before her actual birthday because her grandparents and aunt/uncle and cousins were here.  My mom got me a cake pop maker, so Charley helped decorate some cake pops instead of a birthday cake.  It was a cute little idea, and they were easy to make.

On her birthday we didn't do much.  But today, Saturday, we took her, Gabby, and a few of her friends to the hair school for the princess package (hair, nails, and make-up). And then we took them to lunch.  I was in such a rush this morning trying to get everything ready for me to go to the baptisms this morning, I forgot my camera for the salon.  I wanted a picture with her and her friends, but we just got one of Charley and Gabby after they came home.  They both like the pink eye shadow, and purple nails!  What a big girl. I am blessed and grateful to be the mom of 3 amazing and beautiful little girls!

The week after Christmas

My parents, and sister Jordan came to visit after Christmas, alone with my other sister Brooktynn and her family.  We spent the week hanging out. We did a lot of shopping, but we also spent an afternoon playing basketball and letting the kids ride bikes in the church gym (one of the perks of being Primary President....I get a key to the church), and another afternoon at the Dinosaur Museum, and getting ice cream. A good time was had by all!

Christmas Morning

Christmas was just us this year. My sister and her family were here visiting, but they were with her husbands family.  We started a tradition of closing off our stairs with wrapping paper for the girls to run through in the morning.  We spent most of the day playing with new toys and watching movies.  Around dinner time, we were all getting antzy in the house.  So instead of me making Christmas dinner, we decided to go out to eat.  There are very few places open to eat on Christmas, but we found one.  We actually loved it!  I didn't have to stress about making dinner, or cleaning it up.  And it was a fun way to get out of the house. It was perfect! We may do that every year!

Christmas was a very nice and relaxing day. I am grateful for my sweet girls, and my amazing husband!
