Happy Birthday To ME!!!

Yesterday I left "mid twenties" and entered the "late twenties." It was a little depressing in the morning, but as the day went on, I was a little more accepting of me getting older. It was such a fun and relaxing day! I was able to go an a long run (I'm training for marathon #2) in the morning, then we had a miracle....both girls went down for a nap, so Ben and I got to take a nap!!!!! Then we went to RC Willey and purchased our very first piece of furniture. Yes, Ben and I have been married for 5 1/2 years, and everything in our house has been given to us, second hand. Anyway....we got pretty Chocolate Brown colored couches....more pictures to follow! I am so excited!!! After we got our couches, we went to dinner at Red Robin....my boss gave me a gift card from there for Christmas, so we'd thought we use it! It was the dinner and a movie gift card, so we got 2 movie tickets.....so my sister came up to watch the girls and we went and saw "Sherlock Holmes"!!! Yay! Thanks Jordan!

However, the only pictures I took yesterday are of the girls! The Children's Place was having this HUGE winter clearance sale, everything was picked over by the time I got there, but I did find matching sweaters for the girls for $3!!!! And before Christmas I made these cute flower headbands and clips for the girls....so they match! Way cute! Plus, my girls are way cuter to look at then me! so here are my beautiful girls!

Thanks for all the texts, emails and phone calls! And Thanks to Ben for making my Birthday Special, he really is a perfect hubby!

Bump It

Many of you have seen those TV ads for the Bump-it. They are this head band thing you put under your hair, it makes this bump with your hair without having to tease it. I know many of you received it for Christmas this year. Welp, Gabby has a natural "bump", no need for some fancy hair piece here.....are you jealous?! heehee....

Gabby has this huge colic in the back of her head. For the longest time her hair just stuck straight up. We called it her peacock hair-do! However, as her hair has gotten longer, the hair is to heavy to stand up, so it has started to flop over...but the colic is still so dominant that her hair still kinda sticks out. Charley has the curly hair, and Gabby has the "trendy" hair (trendy is a little better than crazy)! But either way, Gabby is still a cutie!

6 months!

I seriously can't believe that Gabby is already 6 months old. The girls have their 3 year and 6 month check up in a few weeks, so I don't have any stats on Gabby, but she is growing too fast! Her cute little personality is starting to show. We love our little Gabbers!

p.s.....we play "Pretty Pretty Princes" almost every morning....and we let Gabby play with us....she's even won a few times! That is why she has all the jewelry on.....the crown is too big for her though

Book of Mormon Stoies....

Today during church, I peaked in on Charley to see how she was doing in Primary. She was in Singing Time and looked like she was having fun with all the actions they put to all the songs. When church was over I asked her if she remembered any new songs she learned today. She told me she sang "Sunbeam" song, "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" song and "Book of Mormon song." The only Book of Mormon song I knew was "Book of Mormon Stories" so I started singing it, and she started doing the actions!

*** Please do not judge my singing.....I know I am WAY off key....but for your viewing pleasure, here is Charley in "Book of Mormon Stories".....

Dance Gabby, Dance...

We have two little dancers on our hands. We're gonna have to put them both in dance classes soon!

Grandpa's Visit!

Last weekend my dad came intown. My parents home-teacher (who we have had for the past 20 years) retired and moved/moving out here to Lehi to be closer to family. Since my dad didn't have to go back to work until the 11th, he helped drive the truck out here. They got in late Thursday night, and had to leave Saturday to head back. But the girls had fun with grandpa while he was here. And with him, he brought the girls Christmas presents.

They got lots of books, toys, and cute clothes! One of the things Charley got was a princess game. Where you have to collect all your jewelry and crown to win. Jordan, Sara and I played with her....the picture is showing off her jewelry after she won!

After Christmas Beach house Extravaganza!.....part 2

Here are just some of the fun things we did while we were at the beach house.
*decorated/ate yummy ginger bread cookies....I decorated a few cookies, the top picture was just one of my masterpieces. Charley decorated a few too, and then only ate the frosting off the cookie!
*Walks on the beach....and making sand castles with Schrammpa. We also went to the park a few times.
*And Gabby had a blast in Rome's bouncer toy! Thanks Rome for sharing.

We also had a bon fire and made hotdogs and smores, and watched movies, and the kids played! The girls had so much fun with their cousins!

*We have more pictures on Ben's camera, I just took a few off our little camera. Maybe I'll post those later....but it may not be until July! heehee!

After Christmas Beach house Extravaganza!

Isn't it so beautiful? The weather was still cold, but Ben was still brave enough to get into the water once. He is one of the black dots in the water. It had been about a year and a half since we had been there, we wish we lived closer to enjoy it more often.

Christmas Morning

Last year (it seems so long ago when you say it like that, but it was only a few weeks ago), we were able to spend Christmas with our Family in North Carolina. We spent Christmas at Schramma & Schrammpa's (that is what the grand kids call them) house in Charlotte. And after we went to the beach house.

The top picture is of Amaryllis and Charley playing under the kid table. It was so cute to actually watch them play.
There is one of Jake in his new snuggie, and of the girls and all of their loot!

Happy Birthday Charley

My baby is 3! Charley has become a smart, beautiful, and enthusiastic little girl. She is so easy to love. We are so blessed to have her in our family! We love our Big Girl!

Since her birthday landed on a Sunday, we decided to celebrate her birthday on Saturday. We took her and her friend Abi to Chuck E Cheese, then had cake and ice cream with friends and family that were around afterwards. It was such a fun day!

Tomorrow is Charley's first day as a Sunbeam!......She is growing up too fast!

We love you Charley!

Good-bye 2009!

2009 was a crazy year for us.....it had it's ups and downs, but in all it was a great year!

In January we found out we were pregnant (We kinda knew we were, but finally went to the doctors) And we celebrated my birthday and Charley's 2nd birthday!

In February we went to Arizona and stayed with my sister and brother-in-law for the weekend, and I competed in the World Hoop Dance Championships (and placed 12th)
Also in February Ben started his new job at Shumway Van Law.

In March we found out we were going to have another girl!

April was filled with Ben's last law school finals and GRADUATION!!!!!! We were able to celebrate with both of our families!

May wasn't too eventful....just work.....and Ben's Birthday!

June we moved from Wymount to our current apartment in Lehi. We love it out here!

July was the busiest of all! Ben took all of July off of work to study for the Bar. The first week of July we went to Seattle for Tristan Alba's wedding. Came home and a week later and my mom and sister came out to stay with us. Lexi went to SOAR, and mom helped me get ready for the baby and unpack our house (we were still in boxes from the move). The next week we had our 2nd daughter, Gabby was born! And the week after that Ben took the Utah State Bar! And that weekend the rest of my family was out here to see the baby.

August brought Ben's family out here for Ben's littlest sisters wedding, Charlene. She was married in the SLC temple to Jared. We also decided to bless Gabby that weekend, while family was here....so my parents came out that weekend as well. We had tons of family there to support us and our growing family that weekend.

September brought good news. Ben PASSED the BAR!!!!!

October we spent making the girls costumes for Halloween! Charley wanted to be Tinkerbell again, so we decided Gabby should be Rosetta, another fairy from the movie. And we all ventured up to SLC to watch Ben get sworn in as an Attorney!

November, we had family over for Thanksgiving....with Ham, not Turkey! And the week before thanksgiving, I took the girls to Omaha to visit my parents.

And just yesterday (december) we got back from NC, spending Christmas with the Schramm's!!!! (pictures to come in a later post)

We had a great 2009 and look forward to what 2010 will bring out little family!
Happy New Year!
