Officialy in Nursery

Today was Dani's first official day of nursery.  She has been in nursery since she has been born...because we were nursery leaders for the longest time.  But today, she was actually old enough for her to go by herself!!!  She was old enough last week, but we were on the road.  However, us being in nursery didn't help her at all.  She cried the whole time.  Schramma ended up staying in there with her. We will have to work on her staying in there!!

These are just a few cute pictures of her after church. She has a little obsession with hats and shoes!  She can walk pretty good in them too.

Schramma & Schrammpa

We got kinda lucky.  We got to spend an extra week with Schramma & Schrammpa before they entered the MTC.  We even got to spend Schrammpa's Birthday with him.
During reunion Dani had a hard time going to Schramma & Schrammpa.  However, this week was different.  Maybe it was because she didn't have a bunch of people around her, or she was in her own environment, but she finally became buds with them.  Saturday we went up to the canyon and ordered pizza and shot Ben's new guns.
See those two bottles Schrammpa is holding?....they were filled with colored water and Schramma hit them both! She's a good shot!
 Schrammpa with the 9mm.
Last night before the MTC, everyone is on the porch eating ice cream!
They enter the MTC tomorrow (July1, 2013).  They will be done Friday, but fly out Monday, so tonight wasn't the real good-bye, we will get to see them next weekend.  But then they will be off to Vina del Mar, Chile!  They will be there for 2 years serving the people down there as Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Good luck to Elder & Sister Schramm!

Schramm Family reunion 2013

It is pretty hard to get back to reality after coming from a place like Topsail. The week was perfect.  We got to spend some pretty good quality time with some really cool people at a pretty cool place.

The annual Schramm Family reunion was a few weeks ago.  We flew in NC on Thursday night and drove out to the beach Friday and were there through the next Friday.  Ben's parents bought their beach house to have a place for their family to get together, and so we have our reunions there every year.  This year was especially fun b/c everyone was there.  We all wanted to spend some quality time with the Schrammparents before they left on their 2 year mission to Chile for our Church.

Some of the highlights:
~the girls playing with cousins
~cousin's puppet show
~GNO favorite things party
~movies
~The Big Fish Schrammpa caught
~fireworks
~smore's
~desserts every night & 20 + lbs of candy....seriously.
~Throwing a big log (Schrammlympics)
....and i may have to add more later as I remember everything.

We started the drive back Friday morning.  We flew there, and drove the Schrammparents car back to UT.  We are going to sell Ben's car so we can buy the Schrammparents car.  We made it to TN the first night and stayed with Courtney's family, the Bronson's, at their new pretty house.  Then Saturday we left TN and drove to NE to stay with my parents.  Some of my siblings came to town to listen to my sister Lexi give her farewell talk in Church, so we decided to stay for that as well. .....which was a great talk.  She really is going to be a great missionary.  We left right after church to head back to UT. We go in Monday morning at 3am.....so tried!  But the Schrammparents flew into UT Monday afternoon.  And will be here until this coming Monday when they enter the MTC.

We are pretty lucky to get to spend an extra week with them!

They will go into the MTC Monday, and then that night my family will come in to drop Lexi off at the MTC on Wednesday.

It is a busy missionary week.

PS....thanks to all my sister-in-laws for all the pictures.  :)

Strawberries

This is our first year planting strawberry's and I didn't realize that birds also like strawberries!  We had a few strawberries eaten by birds, and I was so annoyed.  So I bought some netting to keep them away....and we finally got some to eat some!  Our first little strawberries!  They were so tiny! I let the two older girls eat them, but they told me they were really yummy and sweet.

School is out and it is hot!  Yay for summer!  So far we have gone on a hike.......

.....any good hikes ends with Popsicles afterward!

And we also used our Pass of All Passes for the first time!  7 Peaks!!  ....Dani wore her hat the whole time, she was so stinkin' cute!!  I had people comment on how cute she was....well, because she is!

And my sister is here for the summer!!!  I love having her around!  Plus it is really nice to run to the grocery store when I need to without kids!  I'm gonna have to try hard no to get too used to it....when she leaves I wont know what to do!
