Just Me & You

At the beginning of the school year, after we would drop Charley off, I would tell Gabby, "It's just me and you." After a while, I stopped saying it, but Gabby has started. ...and it was just me and her for a few months. I loved my one on one time with this crazy girl. Now she has to share her time with Dani, but she still tells me every morning when we close the car door, "Just me and you." I love it!

*I snapped this picture one morning after we dropped Charley off. She is such a diva! She totally rocks the hat and glasses look!

Dani at 2 months

Dani is now just over 2 months. We saw Dr. Alba last week, and here are her stats:
length: 22 inches (30 %)
weight: 10 lbs. 11 oz. (44%)

*She sleeps for about an 8 hour stretch at nights.
*She is starting to smile!
*She doesn't love tummy time, but she is awesome at it!
*She has started "talking", but she is very quiet. When all 3 girls are around, I have to tell the older two girls to be quiet so Dani can get a few words in....and so I can hear her. She is very content to just watch her sisters, so I am a little worried she wont talk as fast because she wont be loud enough with two VERY loud and talkative sisters.

Charley and Gabby have been great with her. After we got our little routine down, 3 kids ain't so bad. Having Charley in school has forced me to get up, get the girls dressed, me dressed, and us out the door, most mornings I am even able to run! It also helps to have a practically perfect baby!

I love little Miss Dani, and am so lucky she is part of our family, but am really sad she is growing up so fast. I was hopeing this child would actually listen to me when I tell her to stop growing, but so far none of my girls will! :)

***Side note, I started making my blog into a book! I just got my first book yesterday and I am so excited to make my blog into something I can really keep forever. I did really good about keeping a journal the first few years Ben and I were married, and then my blog started turning into my journal. I have loved looking at our book and am excited to keep blogging so I can continue to make fun books.

California Gurls part 2

On Saturday we drove around to a few of Ben's old areas on the mission. Ben showed us a few of his mission apartments and Pepe's, one of the places he liked to eat. We also went to another beach and pier in Oxnard. And on our way to Malibu we saw some really cool kite surfers. And we also stopped at a little fruit and veggie stand on the side of the road and I scored 15 avocados for $5!!!! I'm excited for all the guacamole I am going to eat!

And on Sunday we ran into one of his old investigators!!! His kids happened to be singing in his sisters ward that day. It was a neat experience for me to see some of the places Ben lived and places he'd been and people he taught while on his mission. It was fun to think of him walking the streets white shirt and name tag around the streets of CA.

It was a fun weekend, so glad we were able to spend time with lots of family! Thanks Em and Jake for a fun trip!

California Gurls!!

This past weekend we went to CA! A few months ago Ben's sister moved there, in the same area where Ben served his mission. He hadn't been back in a while, it was our nieces birthday party, it was really cold here and warm there so we decided to make the trip with Calvin & Courtney. Our girls were champs at traveling, Dani hardly made a sound.

The girls loved playing with their cousins. And the party was so fun! Driving around one of the days we ran across this cool little soda and candy store. We went inside to find thousands of flavors of sodas. We bought a few and had a soda tasting when the kids went to bed. For anyone that would like to know....Peanut butter and Jelly flavored soda is NOT good! ....neither is cucumber or sweet corn!....But they did have a bunch of other fun flavors!

I took a bunch of photos on this trip....I'll have to do another post...but we bought a new camera before Dani was born, and I have been trying to actually be good with the camera....hence the past few posts being full of pictures. But I got a few shots this trip that I really like...the soda in the fridge, the elephant and doughnut cake.

Fashion Show!

I have the girly-est girls around! And I bet it probably seems like all we do is dress-up and take pictures all day....but most days we do!

The other day the girls came down with a few of their princess dresses. I love looking at pictures of the girls because their personalities totally come out.
Dani: she is still small, but she is so sweet! I think I kiss her cheeks 10 thousand times a day.
Gabby: is a big Cheeseball!!... she has a BIG personality and her poses and smile cracks me up!
Charley: is just getting to dang big....I swear in some of those pictures she looks so tall and like she is 12.

I think all of my girls are beautiful! Dad is going to have a hard time when they are older. In fact, yesterday on Valentines, we got a knock at the door and it was the little boy across the street. He had a heart balloon and a little bouquet of sucker hearts for Charley. And that was just one of the few boys that have a little crush on her.

We had an impromptu photo shoot last Sunday. My girls have some big personalities!
